(3)Obtaining more orders for engineering services in
    support of development
We will lay down the key points that should be satisfied in order to receive more orders for engineering services in support of development.
To build a system to provide full services packed with R&D.
Among the services that a full-service provider is expected to offer, when such provider would be involved from the upstream to the downstream of a process, we can think of investigation on the persuasiveness of a proposal and competing products, design and analysis, product evaluation, prototyping and experiments for the evaluation of productivity, and applicability to mass production. To make it possible to provide such a range of services, it will be necessary to establish a network of companies and a link with research organizations, and to have exchange meetings and matching functions that will convince them to collaborate.
To present proposals of technologies
It became clear that one of the effective methods to participate in the corporate innovation of a product or a process is to sell using a proposal for an idea.
Particularly in the development of a production or processing method, the service provider is expected to have the skills needed to propose a method to develop technologies to achieve efficient production and to promote sales through proposals in the fields of manufacturing equipment or development of a processing method.
However, the issues of selling by proposal are that the seller must have the financial strength to afford advance investments in development, and the risk of losing the advance investment in the event the client declines the proposal.
Therefore, in the development process by the service provider we believe it will be important to grasp the detailed needs of the client more accurately in order to avoid any mismatch to the needs, to define its market in detail, and to devise a strategy to develop technologies in high demand.
To that end, it is conceivable to start with an alliance with a company whose needs are relatively easy to identify, such as the development department or the purchasing department of a company that is already a client, or a local R&D company. Also, in order to promote these suggestions of technologies and products, the skills in developing and proposing technologies must be improved.

To build a system to provide composite technologies
There is an increasing need to contract out a unit order for composite technologies rather than ordering a single technology. Due to the great need for outsourcing, and given the combination of machines and electronic circuits and the complex technology in electronic parts and in the development of new and other materials, the engineering contractors are expected to link the processing technologies and development technologies in the field of materials in the prototyping stage, and then to ensure competitiveness through collaboration with industries in other fields, such as the design or traditional industry.
Given the composite technologies it will be possible to receive modularized unit orders and orders by the cell system. In order to provide such composite technologies it is important for companies with core technologies to form a group quickly that can meet those needs, so that orders will be issued.
